Dear Colleagues,

This year The Soifer Center has been celebrating 25 years of making a difference for children and their families. We are so proud to have been able to do so.

Educational policy and practice has changed significantly in recent years with an increasingly narrow view of what “special” means in education. As a result, I have been devoting the majority of my professional time and energy to the development and delivery of teacher training programs.

Consequently, the decision has been made to close The Soifer Center in order to create more time to help an ever increasing number of children in need of knowledgeable, well-informed pedagogy through teacher training and when needed, advocacy services.

Professionally, I will remain fully available to you along with my network of fine consultants to provide consultations, referrals, records reviews, school meetings, parent and staff development programs, advocacy, and expert witness services. I will be in touch in the near future with updated contact information. Until June 30th, I can be reached at TSC ( This email address is being protected from spambots. I will look forward to our continued work together in both training and advocacy.

With best regards,

Lydia H. Soifer, Ph.D.
